Divided into two parts, Part I of this 56-page spiral-bound book provides a comprehensive overview of the life of the English potter John Ridgway between 1802 and 1858 at Cauldon Place Works in Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, England. Part II chronologically reviews 44 John Ridgway Class 4 1840 to 1857 earthenware registrations found in the National Archives in Kew, London, England. Kew images as well as photos of actual items found by WICA members are included in this extremely definitive book.
